This year’s Typographics will feature the fourth Typographics Book Fair, June 15–16, with items for sale from some of our favorite booksellers.
There will be a wide diversity of material available relating to typography, lettering, design, etc, with everything from rare antiquarian type specimens to contemporary titles on modern graphic design.

The fair will be held in the gallery space at 41 Cooper Square, just across the street from the Great Hall where the main conference will be taking place.
Letterform Archive is back for their third Typographics Book Fair! Visit their table to snag rare foundry ephemera deaccessioned from one of the best type specimen collections in the world. Or get one of @lett_arc’s own books, W. A. Dwiggins: A Life in Design and Morla : Design.
David R. Godine, Inc.‘s interest in typography goes back to their earliest days as letterpress printers in an abandoned cow barn in Brookline, MA. Since then, they have published a continual stream of books dealing with typography and graphic arts: Joe Blumenthal’s The Art of the Printed Book, Walter Tracy’s Letters of Credit, Ruari McClean’s Jan Tschichold, Robert Bringhurst’s Palatino and Jerry Kelly’s The Noblest Roman to name just a few.
The more recent titles will all be on display and for sale at our booth at the show and David himself will be in attendance both days to answer questions about what life was like when sorts were combinations of lead, tin, and antimony and mechanicals were executed with rubber cement and scissors.
Katherine Small Gallery presents exhibits meant to encourage affordable collecting as a way for graphic designers and students of design to learn about the history of their field.
Left Bank Books is an online used and rare bookshop specializing in literature and the arts. They feature a hand-picked inventory of used and rare books that reflect their interest in the creative process.
The Herb Lubalin Study Center of Design & Typography, one of the co-organizers of the Typographics festival, is a study archive but also has been publishing various things since it opened in 1985. They will be selling some of these items as well as some duplicates of type specimens and other books from their collection of 20th-century graphic design.
Draw Down Books is a designer-run publishing platform based in New England, producing small and unique books with a focus on graphic design and typography. Draw Down also sells a wide range of design and typography related titles from both large and small publishers. They are especially interested in the overlap between education and publishing and feature small-run titles published by both students and faculty from design programs around the world.
Founded in 1976, Printed Matter, Inc. is the world’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination, understanding, and appreciation of artists’ books and related publications. Typography is a foundational element of contemporary artist publishing that Printed Matter has embraced and experimented with in a multitude of forms. Their own publishing program, as well as the diverse range of books that they distribute in their shops, representing a breadth of design approaches that range from DIY to historically revered.
Jerry Kelly is a book designer, author, calligrapher, typeface designer, letterpress printer, publisher, curator, and rare book collector. He’s the designer of many of those books you picked up at Grolier Club exhibitions (or should have) over the years including The Art of the Book in the Twentieth Century. Recently he’s published books about Hermann Zapf that he’ll be selling at the Typographics book fair along with other assorted out-of-print books about typography and calligraphy.

Celebrating their thirty-eighth year, Princeton Architectural Press is a leader in publishing books on design, architecture, photography, landscape, and visual culture. The Press has more recently added growing and dynamic programs in both children’s books and Paper + Goods (stationery and gift).
